In Become a Mogul, Charles Major describes his rise to fame and fortune from rock bottom. This memoir is also a self-help book for the urban entrepreneur. Charles helps readers understand how to define success, attain it, and keep it for good. The book also teaches readers how to build an empire without losing sight of one’s family and spiritual life. Charles wrote this book by dictating his thoughts, chapter by chapter, and sending me the transcriptions. I then performed a strong developmental edit on the chapters rather than using my usual ghostwriting format. The technique worked well to help Charles explain his life story, unique viewpoint, and highly motivating advice.
